Home shirt worn as Portugal hosted the 2004 Euros and made it all the way to the final. Despite losing the opening game and final to Greece, the Portuguese side recorded victories over Russia, Spain, England and the Netherlands as they got stronger and stronger as the tournament progressed. Despite the final defeat, this was one of the tournaments that kick-started a golden-era for the Portuguese national team as they became a prominent participant in the latter stages of international tournaments.  This was the first international tournament in which Cristiano Ronaldo participated in.
